Setting the west ablaze

Leave it to the folks at Wild West Exodus to come up with something fun like this guy!

He is Iron Hawk, a character from the Warrior Nation.  This bad boy is a flame chuckin' nightmare that has the ability to make any man sizzle.

I knew this was going to be a very fun miniature to paint, offering lots of object source lighting opportunities.

You will be seeing a great deal more of the Warrior Nation moving forward!

Bark with bite

A few new tree bark bases for you!

This is a medium size Wild West Exodus base.  The skull, as always, is from Secret Weapon.

The is a large size base, meant for big critters, interceptors, and other lighter vehicles.

Here's a few 32mm small base for standard sized characters.  The snake is made from sculpey.

I absolutely LOVE painting these.  There is no shortage of wonderful textures, and I can work in a wide range of greens, umber, tan, sienna and more.

Finally, a collection of all the Mierce Miniatures Beastmen!

This is a very fun group shot.  I really enjoy troops and heavy cavalry combined like this.

It definitely makes for some dramatic posing!

It also lets me get a sense of scale.

Now on a different backdrop, which might show some of the subtle variations in the browns a little more.

Lots of little details going on with each figure.

C-Red strikes again

Well, the Bulls did win tonight, but this red is all about Red Box Games.

Another horse of a different color

I thought this might be the best example of what I have been discussing over the last few Napoleanic posts.  This is in regards to getting the most out of a limited color palette.

These two horses are very similar in pose.  The colors, however, are quite different.

The darker brown horse actually has a fair amount of green in its highlights.  The reddish brown horse has more yellow.

I think this view really shows that difference.

Even with the white "socks", they still stand out from one another.

Hopefully all this shows up when the complete batch of 24 are crammed into the major group shots!  Stay tuned...

A Secret Deployment

At long last, I can finally take some images of all the Secret Weapon RAV 6 x 6's that I made for my Adepticon army!

It took the biggest Hangar 18 backdrop I could muster, but it worked nicely!

These three Secret Weapon RAV 6 x 6 vehicles have been heavily converted.  I turned the one on the right into an Immolator, while the center RAV served as my Exorcist.

That's what I love about these vehicles!  They are designed to be just about anything!  Leman Russ, Chimera, Immolator, Rhino, whatever you need.  There are 10 different weapons, and even two hull mounted options!!!

Tiny Tim
