Flower Power

Next up from Infamy Miniatures... it's the Flower Girl!

She and her tiny buddy are yet another amazing sculpt from a great line of miniatures.  Incredible little details everywhere, but not hard to assemble at all!

They also have some incredibly dynamic poses.  This little girl is quite typical.

Clearly, she likes to play in the puddles!!  Be sure to buy a flower from her.  Or else.

The Joys of Infamy

Infamy Miniature, that is!!  I think many of you saw a previous post which discussed the artistry and quality of these miniatures.

Not only are they wonderful and amazing sculpts, which provide a number of fun painting subjects, the quality and accuracy of the final production figures is second to none.

It's so easy to prep these for painting!  Things fit together so well, and mould lines are very minimal, and not in difficult areas.

The resin material is also strong and resilient, but silky smooth as well.

I believe that the kickstarter figures are being shipped out now, or at least I have seen a number of happy folks in my facebook feed talking about them!

It's going to be a joy to paint even more of these incredible figures!!  Stay tuned. 

Running Amok

Today we check out some of the 'regular' sized figures from Infamy Miniatures.  They are about 32mm, somewhere in that range.  The bases sizes are 30mm and 40mm for comparison.

I don't have all of them shown in this post, as I didn't have the right sort of bases for them.

This little girl is not only cute, but she is quite mischievous!  Leaping over that sewer water!

Monkeys!!!!!

Tesla in 32mm.  Just as detailed as the 54mm version, and the giant bust!!

This is freaking amazing!  I am going to do the blast effect just like the Willa Shaw Iron Horse.

This is an incredible group of minis.  It will be soooooo much fun painting these!!!

The Big Guys!

 

Did I mention that I was VERY excited to have some Infamy Miniatures in da house?

 

Yes indeed!!!  Here we have some 54mm versions of outstanding sculpts.  As I mentioned in the first post, the detail is mind boggling.  They will be a joy to paint as a result.

 

It is also very easy to assemble them.  Everything is quite logical, and a solid peg is used each time.  You won't have to worry about sensitive joints breaking.

 

Each of the characters is cast in a minimal number of parts, which makes me a happy camper, and lets me get to the paint brushes that much faster :-)

 

The particular Bobby is going to be a lot of fun.  The gun, helmet, and other gadgets are finely sculpted and well cast.  Sometimes things like rivets and other tidbits that are so common to steampunk theme are either miscast or bisected by an evil mould line.  Not so here.

 

This jolly good fellow will be an opportunity for some very interesting skin colors.  Not to mention some OSL for the bit of fun he has in his hand...

 

This mega Sheriff is huge!  He's on a 60mm base.  I was amazed at how nicely all those arms and such fit together.  All of the joints used that same pin system, making it very easy to put together, and pretty resilient too.

 

I don't know if these will be the final bases or not.  They are from Secret Weapon Miniatures, by the way.

Busted!

Hey folks!  This is something truly different for me... a first time event!

This spectacular bust from Infamy Miniatures will be the first bust that I have ever painted.  It's going to be so much fun, because Infamy puts some serious craftsmanship into their figures.

There's a link to their facebook page at the end of this post.  When you check out the pictures of the renders on that page, you can be sure that all the details you see in those images directly translates to the actual casts.  Wow!

Not only are the details super crisp and well rendered, the consistency of the resin is very nice.  It is silky, resilient, and not brittle in the least.

I have been prepping a number of them over the last week, and they have been among the easier to prep resin figures... very impressive!

I'm sure that there will be a lot of unique challenges to approaching a bust, so I truly look forward to this.  Obviously there will be a lot of glowing effects!
