These spear bundles can be a killer to get through, especially the 'plastic' versions...
It's much easier to do the metal versions, as you can bend each one out of the way ever so slightly, and bend it back! :-)

The Druid's Stone
I think this classic figure might be well over 20 years old. My guess is that she's a Ral Partha figure.
I had a lot of fun painting her, and that piece of mulch was just perfect for the stone base!!

Nuns With Guns: Part 2
Here's a few more images from the second Raging Heroes campaign.
Having painted a number of the Sci-fi Blood Vestals, I am familiar with these kinds of dynamic poses that the super talented sculptors are capable of creating!
They have also managed to put more and more expression into the figure's faces, as evidenced by this pose. As if the faces were not already sculpted superbly... now we get a range of expressions too!
I will be curious to see how the beads play out in the casts. I remember that many test casts were made for the original TGG figures, especially in the regular trooper boxes. Things like helmets and weapons underwent a few reworks to make sure the proportions were OK, but that the casting process could also be efficient.
Elegant and very dangerous!!!

The Sun Knight
It's been a while since I've gotten a chance to paint Gold NMM armor, so this figure really did the trick!
I also chose to have the cloak be a deep purple shade, which is a very nice contrast with the Golds. Mixing the purple with a very intense yellow creates all sorts of great mid tone shades!

War clouds are gathering...
It's always fun when you start getting enough figs together to make group shots!!
Here we have the Char B1 Bis, the Souma S35's, and the Renault Hotchkiss.
That's quite a range of sizes!!
I have more that will join them... two more light tank designs.
I thought that I should break out the green photo backdrop at this point!!
I will also start my Flames of War terrain with forest pieces, I think. It should make a great Ardennes forest!
It's amazing how even this basic green backdrop makes these tiny things almost look real. :-)
On to more tiny tanks!!
The Dwarf Queen
This fun Reaper Miniature is one of the few dwarves I have had a chance to paint. They are usually a challenge, because you have far more variations in surface types in such a compressed area.
The metals are always fun, however!!

War in the Bayou
Well, here's something that I've been looking forward to since Adepticon!!! Yes, Wild West Exodus will soon be adding its four new factions!
For your viewing pleasure, I will be showing some of the actual line troop sprues. Let's get that process started with the Scouts of the Confederate Rebellion.
As with all the existing sprues, each figure is a completely unique pose, arranged in sets of five long range and five close combat fighters.
Each piece is labeled, and they go together very easily. Since these are genuine plastic, plastic glue will actually work! That's why the WWX plastics are among my favorite, in addition to the solid construction.
These parts won't break as you try to get rid of mould lines :-)
The line troops are not all! There will also be Bosses and light supports in the initial public release as well. Here are some images for you:
And no posse is complete without Sidekicks and Underbosses!!
The Long Range Scouts ready for action! Again, these are not renders, but real figures, assembled, primed, and so on.
The Close Combat Scouts are ready to sneak around the swamp!
I am really looking forward to painting these guys! The bases will have to be forest or swamp theme. In the WWX universe, the Confederacy heeded the pleas of their President to abandon the cities, and take the Revolution to the hills and the swamps...
To get an idea of what colors might be used, here are some Butternut and Gray tones for Stonewall Jackson:
The Confederate Rebellion will rely primarily on guerrilla, hit and run style tactics. Stealth will be their main asset.
There are many exciting heavy supports coming for them as well. And some very nasty critters!! Check out the giant snake!!
