In another case of trying to keep myself from going insane (or more insane), I spent a few moments getting the Tomb Guard situated on their bases. You have seen the original post on this movement tray:
But now it was time to magnetize the bases. I re-learned that hard way that saving all these little chunks of refrigerator magnets would lead to a polarization issue...
So, I had all the bases magnetized...
As well as the unit filler.
However, when I put all the bases on, a few of them popped off, since there is a 'grain' to the refrigerator magnets! Bummer! They were super glued to the base, so pulling them off was not an option. I was able to spin a few around, but I had to be sure that they would still physically fit into place.
I had to replace a few, which was a bummer. You can see the renumbered and shaved down replacements in this image, as I started to put some of the Guard in place. They are not being glued yet, since I want to be able to paint all the bases first!
The first row is done. Some will be replaced by characters. I am trying to intersperse old metal figs with the new plastics, as well as come conversions.
Building up around the sides of the movement tray...
Most of the rows completed, with some characters in position. The three white figs are Reaper Bones minis from the kickstarter set!
