WIP images: Shaded Basecoat technique on the Tainted World Eaters Decimator

Photobucket
Here are a few quick images to illustrate the use of the "Shaded basecoat" technique once again.  For those who are not familiar with this term, you can check it out in the "how to" pages of the blog.

The first image shows the size of the brush which was used to paint everything thus far.  That is the whole point of the technique... to get pigment on every surface as quickly as possible.

These next few images were taken not long before I started the glazing and tinting process.  We start with the torso...

  1. There's real nice shades in there Mr. Wappel, this is gonna look amazing. I'm loving the tabbard, it really adds a lot of character for such a small addition. Good work!

  2. Está demasiado genial! Los World Eaters tenían un esquema muy bueno antes de la Herejía.

Thanks again for this type of tutorial. I am ashamed to say I can't find a section called "how to" on the list to the left. There is one item under "tutorials" but I know there are more. Am I missing something obvious?

The shaded basecoat example for the Galadhrim Knight of the Blood Rose is listed under LOTR. Is there a way to tag it as a tutorial as well as LOTR?

    1. If you look at the top bar, you will see two step by steps listed. I hope that is useful!

      Cheers!
