Time for more football :-)

Well, this guy should be able to dish out a serious stiff arm or two, or three, or four!

I guess he will get fined for handing out a four-arm shiver.  Ouch.  Yup, been that kind of week.

A 'Blast' from the past...

Here's something from many moons ago, when Rich and I played lots of 4th edition 40k.  Usually, it was his Chaos vs my Demonhunters.

This particular game was a scenario that we created, called Defend the Factorum.  It was an 8 turn game, with the ultimate goal to get the most bodies inside the Factorum by the end of the game.

There was a staggered approach to deployment.  The defender began with very little inside the factory... I think it was just an HQ and some troops.

The attacker had much more coming in at the start of the game, but had to deal with 2 sets of hidden minefields.  Two were anti-vehicle, and 2 more were anti-infantry.  These were deployed secretly by the defender by designating their position on a grid.

Here are the forces before the game.

As I mentioned before, the attackers came on the board with a good chunk of their forces.  The defenders received reinforcements at various intervals.

You could choose to get on the board earlier, but they would show up farther away from the factory.

This let the attackers advance rapidly at the start of the game, as there was not much in the factorum to oppose them.  However, advance carefully, since you never know where those mines might be!

The attackers still manage to reach the walls.

However, serious reinforcements appear for the defense!

The attackers attempt to outflank with some late arrivals of their own.

You can see the disks in front of the factorum representing the minefields.

For the most part, there was a lot of crazy fights that happened inside the structure, although there were some very unusual match ups outside.  I think one involved an Inquisitor retinue vs a Defiler. :-)

Let's just say this was a very bloody fight!  Not much left alive by the end...

I made these counter sheets for our games, which were very handy.  I still have them to this day.

Yum. Fried Brains

Well, at least that's how my brains are right now.  I guess the last 48 hours took way more out of me than I thought.  Been a very rough week overall.

One more walker joins the bunch.

As usual, it is fun painting these guys.  Just enough detail to do some fun things, but you can get through them quickly enough :-)

Those blood walkers!  Always showing up around those bloody sewers!!!

Off to get some more brains.

Looks like Ranger Rick and Disco Stu are in a sticky spot.

Leave it to Stu to pick 'em up and set 'em down...

A portly Pestigor

Looks like someone has been digging into the buffet table in the locker room!

Perhaps that large hand lets him get a hold of more than just a mini-burger...

Hopefully he will take time out from the munchies to grab a football once in a while.

Why not more options...

OK, here are some more options on the RAV 6 x 6.  I suppose this could be a Griffon in a pinch.

Also, if I did the extra sponsons to give this even more of a Leman Russ feel, this option would definitely work.

It's been very cool to see this vehicle with the newer options that I painted up.  While the Battle Cannon and Heavy Flamer were very neat, these other weapons make it look so different!

I see that I forgot to change out the hull mounted weapon for these shots... trust me, you get a heavy flamer and heavy bolter :-)

I saw this option as more of a Hydra style anti-flyer.  Personally, I would just like a can of Raid to spray in the air each time I see a triple flyer list...

I have at least 2 Hydras planned for the Adepticon army, so this option will definitely do the trick!!!

More options for the RAV 6 x 6

When I set out to photograph the various weapon options for the Secret Weapon RAV 6 x 6, I forgot how many there were!  I liked this option for a Multi Laser.

I am pretty sure that there is a WIP post that shows how I made a pin for these different wargear options.  You could use blue tac in a pinch, though, taking advantage of how they fit in.

Two more options in the next post!

It's very damp in the Underdark...

Well, just as I was transferring these images, the Inundation began.  What followed was an all nighter of bailing water from the basement.  It could be a longer time frame to the next post.  We shall see what the weather inflicts today.

This is another Raging Heroes Fantasy Blood Vestal.  These particular minis are metal, and they are all one piece!

This is beneficial in so many ways.  No tiny arms to pin, parts to break off, etc.

She joins the command group already painted.  Once again, all solid, one piece metal figures, despite the dynamic poses.  Very cool!!!

Raging Heroes is gearing up for Dark Elves.  There are many concept art images on their website.  I will try to post some of those as I continue with these ladies!

Back to the basement (Underdark) to construct more flood defenses.  Washing all the towels and laundry will have to wait...
