I said... don't mess with my bear!

K-Free is another member of the Wayward Eight.  The little bear is not part of the mini, however... I sculpted that :-)

This was one of the most fun miniatures from the set to paint.  I don't often get to paint pink shirts with flowers!

Prepare for a plethora of perfectly practical posts on pretty bases

Get ready for an avalanche of bases!  We start it off with a set of bases I made for our Wild West Exodus games.

Bark and branches featured here, with a special base for Pat Garrett.  Hang 'em high!

I had sculpted a bunch of little snakes for Lizardmen bases a while ago... I finally get to use them now!  I will paint that up as a Diamondback rattlesnake, of course.

I used  a few sculpey pieces to carve wood grain texture to create a few bases for guys running around about the town.

And a preview of some Holy Orders bases.

You saw me paint up a few marble test bases for this faction a few months ago.  With the figures in hand, it's for real now!!

The lone Lawman...

Well, actually he's not!  He's another of five close combat hired hands from the Lawman box.

You get five each of the Pistol packing Hired Hands and the Long Range variety.  There are some benefits to having as many as ten of any one type of Hired Hand.  It helps you in your activation phase, as you activate three figures/units.  

You can carry out a gang action by having a whole group of a similar type move as one... within a 2 inch coherency, I believe.

Holier than thou

So, my first Holy Orders figure for Wild West Exodus!

He is Mimreg Zain, and he packs a wallop.

You remember the bases that I made at Gen Con in anticipation of these guys.  One of my intentions was to reflect the blue of the marble into the cloaks, which would be white.  These shots give you a sense of that...

I also had to reflect the blue onto the gold armor.  That meant lots of fun greens worked their way onto the various surfaces.  A nice contrast to the warmer, more reddish golds.

I look forward to doing more of these guys :-)  We shall see how they work in the context of the wider game, since they cost a ton of points.  Just about guaranteed to be outnumbered all the time.
