OK, here are some more of those interesting figures from Foundry (or is it Cobblestone?)  Anyway, they make a gigantic range of mostly one piece minis that are easy to work with.  They are not really prone to breaking, either!









These would be a very economical way to create a hobbit mounted army for Lord of the Rings!

A tale of three Eldrads

A week or so ago I posted two very different color schemes for the same Asurmen figure.  This week, we have three different versions of the same miniature!

It is always fun to compare these and see how dramatic a change in color here and there makes the same sculpt a whole new miniature!

I still like Foundry Miniatures (Gallery #1)

I am not sure if this is what the company is still called... or if it is Cobblestone casting or something similar.

What I do know is that they make a vast variety of historical, fantasy and sci-fi minis that tend to be very economical, and sturdy.  They are almost always one piece, or very little assembly.  The details may not be similar to the newer resin and plastic styles of casting today, but you can't beat the price, and you can find just about anything your heart desires. 

If I had more $$$ right now, I would be inclined to snag some myself!

Hi Tech miniature as a Grey Knight Ghost Knight

This is part of a big group of terminators I am painting.  One squad is supposed to be Ghost Knights, and this is going to represent the special character.  It was far more difficult than I thought it was going to be to paint, even though it appears to be pretty straightforward. 

I think it is due to the rather bulky nature of some of the details.  I have gotten used to the more subtle sculpts that are prevalent today :-)

Primarch Sanguinius

I thought this was a very nice sculpt that not only captured the look of the Blood Angels Primarch, but in terms of scale, it was a bit larger in scale, as a primarch should be!

More Gamezone Black Orcs

Just like the previous orcs I posted the other day, these guys are rather large.  They are on 25mm square bases.  I still think these guys would make very good Orc heroes and characters for Lord of the Rings!

Cool Mini or Not Ogryn

This figure from Cool Mini really does make a fantastic Ogryn, if you want a different pose for a big squad!
