Hey! Watch where you point that thing!

Now this is something different!  Obviously, this is hot off the factory floor.  There are certain "anomalies" with these Forgeworld figures that tend to create a lot of extra work.  At least it looks kinda neat. :-)

The hardest part was getting the operator on the vehicle.

Here is the observer:

  1. Gorgeous as always good sir. Im particularly captivated by the sky reflection in the bolters gun barrel, i've never seen that done before.

    1. Thanks! That has been a habit of mine on all bolters, even heavy bolters. It was even more important on the Imperial Fists, since the bolter itself was black or dark grey. I wanted to get some distinction between the two surfaces.

  2. Excellent! I really enjoy your Imperial Fists work. I notice that some IF painters 'lose' the yellow when applying battle damage, but you achieve effective battle damage while maintaining distinct, pleasing yellow (it's dirty, but it doesn't look like someone spilled pea soup, or other, all over the armor).
On a side note, are these images reversed?(the chapter icon is on a different shoulder than your other Fists, not sure that it matters though)

    1. Thanks! Yellows are not the easiest, that's for sure. My favorite light color for marines was those Luna Wolves :-)

Weathering is very important on this FW stuff, where miscasts abound! The icons are on the same shoulders as the devastator squad, where the red blast logo come from. I figured they would belong to a group like that!
