Armorcast Gallery #2, some Wild OSL, pirates, lots of stuff...

This is an example of mass amounts of OSL (Object Source lighting) in a very confined area!

Eldar Harlequins, Gallery #1

I have done a few squads of Harlequins with varying themes.  Here is a gallery of the first unit:

Khorne Demon Prince

Here is a moderately converted demon prince. I have to say, I prefer the older metal Demon Prince to the newer plastic kit.  I like painting the 'armor' that is just as much a part of the body as anything else.  Lots of fun transitions there.

So, to the images...

CELTOS Sidhe Stone Temple Diorama

I created this diorama using Sculpey back in 2005.  As you can tell by the 28mm miniature standing inside it, this piece is fairly large

The various stone elements were textured with actual rocks when the clay was still unbaked, and then the additional cracks and designs were carved in once the clay was baked.  All of these elements were put together and the flocked.

Here is a front view:

And a sketch of what I wanted it to look like:

Armorcast gallery #1

Aside from the terrain pieces which they have made in large quantities, Armorcast does have some fun little minis.  I painted some of these for them a few years ago.  This is the first  of two galleries.

I liked the little dice in this guy's hand:

Hordes: Legion of Everblight, Gallery #2

This big monster was a real challenge to paint, since I had to paint it while it was attached to its base.  Normally, I have the figure pinned to a dowel rod.  That lets me get to the underside much more easily, and it is more comfortable.

I used Apoxy sculpt to get the rocks to be in just the right spot on the base.

Bretonnian standard bearer and hero

These are the only two Bretonnian figures I think I have done.  I look forward to painting an army, with each night having his own colors and heraldry!  I had a lot of fun freehanding designs on the shields... such as teh face of the Lady.
