Second Eldar Fire Prism (cracking energy effect)

This is a freshly completed piece, but it is actually the second of its kind that I have done.  A few years ago, the buyer requested a Fire Prism with some manner of sculpted energy effect.  That was the "old style" Prism with the metal turret pieces.  I definitely liked working with the plastic version better in terms of the weight and worries about top heaviness!

It made creating the crackling effect trickier, though, since everything was so stretched out with the longer beam.  Here are the pictures:

Lucius the Eternal

I did this piece so that I could have lots of fun with purple and turquoise color transitions, which is always an interesting experiment!

Clay Golem Pit Diorama

Here is another piece from the Golden Age of Dioramas, circa 2004-2005.  I did almost exclusively dioramas at that time.

The trees and rocks were all made from sculpey.  A few of the golems were the original metal figures from Reaper, but the distorted ones emerging from the mud are also made from sculpey.  I don't remember much else... sorry!  It was a while ago... :-)

Dark Age Skarrd miniatures... a small batch :-)

As I go through all my Dark Age galleries, I begin to realize just how many of them I painted since 2003!

This is but a fraction of one FACTION I painted for Dark Age, called Skarrd.  The vast majority of the painted figures you see in the Dark Age shop were painted by me, which makes events like Adepticon interesting.

It can be a strange feeling to see those display cases chock full of miniatures that I painted, many of which I don't even remember.  There are minis in this very post that I have no recollection of painting :-)

Recclusiarch

Here is a figure from either Scibor or HiTech... not really sure :-)  The larger scale takes a bit to get used to.  I think they are almost 35mm scale, if not 40mm!
