Here is a Thousand Sons squad that I created for Games Day a few years ago. My primary goal with this project was to see what I could do in terms of a display base.
I knew I wanted to have the marble filled with daemon faces, which would also be carried onto the base of every miniature. I was reminded of this when I started painting the floors and bases of my new Tomb Kings army. You also saw some designs similar to this painted on the 72mm mounted Chaos Knight.
This is not a very easy design to carry across large surfaces, as I discovered! To get enough variation in the faces becomes more and more trying the bigger the space you need to cover.
Here is the display base minus the minis. You can see the daemon faces a bit better with the unobstructed view.
A collection of images that feature my painted miniatures. It features many of my award winning figures and terrain pieces painted since 2001.

Skirmishing movement trays for skinks: the finished results
OK, here are the two trays all painted with flock, static grass, and foliage!
This unit was broken into two trays for a variety of reasons. First, it is handy to be able to alter the formation as needed. My other trays limited what I could do with my formations of salamanders & handlers. I certainly didn't want to do that with these guys!
The pictures show how you can set them up in different ways. Also, they tend to die in bunches, and it is never fun to move around big trays with only half the original number on them :-)

Angels Solarus Forgeworld Chaplain Dreadnought
For those of you who have been checking out the blog, you have seen the introduction of the Angels Solarus, a Blood Angels splinter chapter that was pretty close to Apocalypse sized.
Thus far, I have focused on just the infantry, but now I am moving on to the vehicles. I painted 6 dreadnoughts of various types, with many weapon options. I also painted 5 dreadnought drop pods (sneak peek in the "Glory Shots" post from a few days ago), as well as a Storm Raven and two Baal Predators.
Those will all find their way to the blog, and some will be posted on CMON. This particular dreadnought was the Forgeworld chaplain version. As you can see, I did lots of different weapon options for it :-)
It's also on CMON here:
