Legend's Week begins!!!!!!!!!

OK, it's Tuesday, but it's never too late to bring in the LAW!

This Legendary Lawman is Wyatt Earp, and he is supremely nasty.

Oh yeah, and the miniature is mighty fine as well.  I'm really looking forward to seeing this Legend of the Wild West on the table, joined by his two doggies!

However, this is just the beginning of a week of legends.  I can already hear the baying of a wolf in the background...  what could that be?

Standing Guard

It's been a little while since you have seen a Reaper miniature, so here's another one of those classics.

I think this might have been among the first of the Warlord figures to come out a while back.

I had a lot of fun with the non-metallic effects, and with the face!  Lots of character there :-)

He's also here:

A Great Spirit rises

Today we introduce you to Chief Raven Spirit, a new Boss for the Warrior Nation, and the special GenCon 2015 miniature!

For those who are already familiar with the Free People, Warrior Priests have the ability to summon apparitions, which then unleash death upon their unsuspecting enemies.

This new boss is master of summoning, and not only of this massive apparition.  He can also bring more of the smaller spirits as well.

Here are some renders of the special release for GenCon.

I will be painting this at the booth, just as I painted the Holy Order Pillar of Light in 2014.

This will be so much fun to paint, with lighting effects everywhere!  It makes me very happy that I will be camped out in the Wild West Exodus booth with my brushes and paints!

This might be the most fearsome looking of all the Wild West Exodus creatures to date.

But that's not all!

For the first time anywhere, I will be showing my whole collection of Wild West Exodus figures.  My own Warrior Nation posse grows by the day!

Old Stompy will be there of course.  He was the Gold Crystal Brush large creature.

Geronimo and Walks Looking will be there, along with various Legends of the Weird West, such as Legendary Sitting Bull.

Not to be outdone, the Lawmen of Wappelville will come into town, making sure that things don't get out of hand in Indy.  Legendary Wyatt will lead them.:-)

The other factions will be represented as well, as I bring what Union, Outlaw and Holy Order figures that have been painted, or are under way.

It should be a lot of fun... lots of work, but a great chance to talk painting, and talk gaming.  Yes, it's hard to believe that this time last year, I was reading the WWX rule book for the first time.

Little did I know that it would lead to amazing battles like this:

Guard dog

These new Mercenary K-9's from Wild West Exodus are among the meanest sidekicks around for their point cost.

This gatling gun version cranks out a large volume of shots, especially with that extra action point.

However, these have proven to be almost more valuable as close combat beasts, tying down critical enemies who have yet to activate.

How would you like to try and take a shot with one of these ripping your arm off?

The Big Guys!

Did I mention that I was VERY excited to have some Infamy Miniatures in da house?

Yes indeed!!!  Here we have some 54mm versions of outstanding sculpts.  As I mentioned in the first post, the detail is mind boggling.  They will be a joy to paint as a result.

It is also very easy to assemble them.  Everything is quite logical, and a solid peg is used each time.  You won't have to worry about sensitive joints breaking.

Each of the characters is cast in a minimal number of parts, which makes me a happy camper, and lets me get to the paint brushes that much faster :-)

The particular Bobby is going to be a lot of fun.  The gun, helmet, and other gadgets are finely sculpted and well cast.  Sometimes things like rivets and other tidbits that are so common to steampunk theme are either miscast or bisected by an evil mould line.  Not so here.

This jolly good fellow will be an opportunity for some very interesting skin colors.  Not to mention some OSL for the bit of fun he has in his hand...

This mega Sheriff is huge!  He's on a 60mm base.  I was amazed at how nicely all those arms and such fit together.  All of the joints used that same pin system, making it very easy to put together, and pretty resilient too.

I don't know if these will be the final bases or not.  They are from Secret Weapon Miniatures, by the way.

Up next from Infamy Miniatures will be a post that shows some 30mm versions of these characters, as well as a few more!  Stay tuned.

There's a new dog in the pound, and that's the H311-K9 mercenary from Wild West Exodus.

There are two 'breeds' of these deadly K9's, and either one can ruin your day.

Not only do they have major firepower, but their speed and multiple action points mean that their threat range is huge!  They can truly reach out and touch someone!!!

The Overseer

Here's one more figure from Miniature 13, called the Overseer.

I had a lot of fun painting all the subtle tans, greens and purples!

The camo cloak was done to carry some of those angles of the armor onto the flowing cape.

I did use a bit of weathering powders along the bottom of the cloak to create some dust and dirt, and feather out the pattern even more.

The idea behind the pattern was to give the impression that the hexes would mimic the surrounding colors when activated, blurring his appearance.

Purple and tan are natural colors to use together.  Most of the shading on the armor was done by mixing purple in with the tans.

Side by side with the concept art!!!

Go check out Miniature 13, where more concept art, prints and casts can be seen.
