Stare into my eyes...

I don't recall exactly what this Forgeworld figure is... I have not been able to find any links to it on their site.  In fact, a number of links to various Mechanicus figures no longer seem to exist on that site.

Very odd, but I'm sure it won't take very long for loyal Wappellians to provide the vital information!

A crazy week continues.  Something tells me it's gonna take another week, or even two, to come close to stabilization...

Wish me luck!

Trudging around on foot...

OK!  The promised 'foot' version of the Easterling Banner Bearer.  I had converted this at the same time as the mounted version, but parts of it were never finished.  Now it is complete, and ready to "stand in" in the event the mounted version loses his horse!

He could also function in a more infantry based army, which I might try at some stage.  There are plenty of infantry available!

Warm socks

As temps continue to hover around zero, and piling up the negative wind chills, it's time to show another Napoleanic cavalry figure.

The 'socks' on this horse were a reminder that I had to wear up to three pairs at a time to keep from freezing last year.

The nasty cold is here until at least Saturday...

RIP Jesse

I think I have been working on at least a few hundred bases at once.  Bases for Lawmen, Holy Orders, and Warrior Nation... on top of bases for Mierce, Privateer Press, Mechanicum, and so much more.

I'm practically out of space for all of them!

This next set is for a variety of guys... one of which is for Virgil Earp.  Care to guess which one?

Obviously, I really have fun with these bark and branch bases!

The little headstone was even made with a piece of bark.

These are also very enjoyable to paint with all the fantastic texture!

There's going to be many more of these for additional Lawmen and Warrior Nation figures.

Stay tuned!!

A chill in the air...

The mercury plunges outside, more and more.  Must be January!

Looking at wind chills of 35 below tomorrow.  Fun times!

It also makes painting more difficult, as paint will dry out far more quickly.

What I hate more is how cold my fingers get after the many hours of painting (and barely moving).  There are times where the brush practically falls out of my hand.

I'm also avoiding any green stuff/sculpting tasks, as it is mostly a semi-pliable rock :-)

Looking into the Sun

Sun Totem, that is.  Another Wayward Eight character.

I am looking forward at some point to trying out various members of the Wayward Eight in our games.

I definitely want to try out Flowing River and Sun Totem with my Warrior Nation!

All hands on deck!

I've got a few more of the bases painted... those made from Burn in Designs scraps :-)

These have been more fun to paint than I anticipated.  Perhaps it's because they are a bit different... not sure.

It may be due to the fact that I was looking for more of an 'iron' look than the more modern, sci-fi appearance which 40k and other games demand.

Showing some of them in use with the Wayward Eight...

More on the way!  Stay tuned!
