The mercury plunges outside, more and more. Must be January!
Looking at wind chills of 35 below tomorrow. Fun times!
It also makes painting more difficult, as paint will dry out far more quickly.
What I hate more is how cold my fingers get after the many hours of painting (and barely moving). There are times where the brush practically falls out of my hand.
I'm also avoiding any green stuff/sculpting tasks, as it is mostly a semi-pliable rock :-)
The crispness of detail, again and again, upon these "rank n' file" troopers is fascinating!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's getting to be very fun to see their numbers start to pile up!!
DeleteSo nice work as always !
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the kind words! :-)
DeleteJust gorgeous. The scheme is masterful. I never get tired of your style. They look like little 3d oil paintings.
ReplyDeleteThanks! That is actually the key to my approach... I treat all of the minis as if they were 3D paintings. When people ask me if I miss 2D painting, that's what I tell them ;-)
DeleteAwsome mini as always. I would give many things to paint mini in your style and skill.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks... it really did have a lot to do with constant painting, constant experimentation.
DeleteAmazing as always. I feel your pain, its -40 something right now up here in Canada.
ReplyDeleteOuch! That's just brutal!
DeleteWell, it is a lot warmer here in Belgium.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm very glad to see the cold hasn't stopped you from painting or reduced your skill.
Great job!
All it takes is three layers of socks, two layers of pants, extra scarves, five layers of shirts...
DeleteAnd here I am complaining about -12C temps in Maryland. I just bought a heater for my garage so I could keep airbrushing the stompa! Keep warm! Agree with David. Your mini's are like tiny portraits in oil. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is another reason why I moved to brush on primer and sealer :-)
