Next 'man' up...

Another sluggo for you.  This time a High Elf.

It's pretty wild doing all these different races turned slime worms!

More to come!

Lizard slug!

Time for a scaley wiggler.  Hmm... that sounds wrong in some contexts.

This was a fun Rotter to paint, since it gave me the chance to do some brighter colors to contrast with the muck, uniform and pinks!

I had lots of fun putting the pink color in between the blue scales!

When Lake Michigan attacks

If you are wondering what my latest project has entailed for the last few days... this would be it.

For those in warmer climes not familiar with the concept of lake effect snow, that occurs when the cold winds from the north pass over a large body of water at a high rate.

Normally, lake effect snow hits the folks on the other side of the lake in Indiana and Michigan.  However, once in a while, those winds come from the east, and create sudden snow squalls here.

That happened today, when snowfall went from an inch in 3 hours to 2-3 inches an hour.
This is what greeted me on my third round of shoveling...

I knocked off a big drift from the roof, got out all my shovels, and went to work...

Since we live right by an airport, I could tell there were not going to be many planes in the sky.  Visibility was less than a mile... a lot less.

White was the theme of the day.

Snow always piles up fast here.

Winter wonderland.  This will all be frozen in place once the -15 temps hit.  It was already close to zero when I did my last round with the shovels.

More tomorrow I am sure, when the snowplows bury half of what I did...

Let it snow... let it snow.

Sorry for the delay folks!  Continuously shoveling snow here.  More to come as well, so I am geraing up to go shovel some more!

Then it will be a cozy -15 for the low.

Should be fun!  A number of things being worked on, including more of the Nurgle Rotters.  Three more almost about to join these three guys.

Also, a big batch of Empire Greatswords.  Images of the first figs coming this weekend.

The rotters coming up are Lizard, High Elf and 'undead'...

Slugfest!!!

Here they come!

Off to prison and the Chain Gang...

Here we have the next installment from Victoria Miniatures!  This batch is called the Penal Guard.

This set of 10 makes an excellent Penal Legion squad.  As usual there are 10 figures in all, with many different options.
First, the legs:

There are a few torso options, including a few for leaders/command.

A number of 'lasgun' options...

Then more heads, some shivs, and other items!

There were many ways to put these together, but I wanted to use the helmet version on one figure:

Chain gang!  Get a move on!

And then a few shots of the whole squad.

I didn't do anything to the figures themselves except file mould lines, wash them off and glue them together.  So, this really represents them right out of the package.

Finally, some images of the individual prisoners.

I am trying to decide if I want to go the orange jump suit route, or more 'standard' ripped up Guard uniforms.

These guys would make a fantastic addition to any Imperial Guard army.

Happy New Year Blog!!!!

OK loyal Wappellians!  We ring in the New Year with post number 1702!!

As always many thanks to all of you who take time out of your day to explore the madness that is my world.

I can't stress often enough that none of this happens without you.  It still amazes me that anybody wants to keep listening to my wild rantings :-)  Hopefully some of it ends up being useful.

So many things are planned for this new year.  As much of a transition as 2013 was, I believe that 2014 will eventually complete that transition and lead to so much more.  Very hard work still awaits... and this first part of the year is going to be quite a challenge... but knowing the goal could be attained keeps me scrapping for that extra yard!
