The only game in town? Impact Hockey Kickstarter
OK, here they are! With a possible NHL lockout looming, this might be the best way to get your hockey fix :-)
The detail is very nice, and they are sculpted with minimal folds in the key areas where you need to put numbers and team logos.
So, head on over to Impact Miniatures to get in on the Kickstarter!!

Awesome...I need a Chris Chelios Wisconsin Badger.
ReplyDeleteHooray for the Frozen Four :-)
DeleteI saw these on their facebook.... Amazing again James!!!
DeleteThanks! It was very fun to do the bases for these guys!
DeleteThis is the first time I have ever had a chance to paint any figure that was not fantasy or sci-fi, which I am only just now realizing! Hey, it only took 11 years to get to that point :-)
Very nice, but it does irritate me that they are holding the sticks wrong... your top hand wraps around the knob of the stick. No player in HISTORY holds it lower. As long as the work is being put in, I wish that bit had been right. And the goalies fingers shouldn't poke out under the blocker; good way to get them broken.
ReplyDeleteAll that complaining out of the way, love them, and will likely get them:)
Oh, and have to say, the bases are BRILLIANT. Makes me miss being on the ice!:)
ReplyDeleteThanks. :-) I can't really speak to the sculpting (my job is painting), but perhaps it had something to do with setting up the casting process. The hands meet the arms as a joint, and maybe that's why the hands had to be in that position?
