Fancy bases

Here are some more base designs that I did for CMON.  I made them in the usual way, using baked sculpey.

  1. I really like those bases. So much detail and room to mount the mini in a bunch of ways on the base.

    1. Thanks! That is my pet peeve about bases... no one seems to leave any room for an actual miniature!!

  2. Wow, those urban bases are great (though I like all of them). Question, what did you use for the pipes and grating? I can pick out some possible plastic rods, but the rest I can't place.

Thanks for the blog! I come here everyday to see what you have posted. This is a real treat for me!

    1. I use all sorts of things for the pipes... polystyrene tubing, paper clips, wire, even flexible straws! Theer are some companies that also sell brass-etched plating at 28mm scale.

That stuff is pricey, but I use it to create a master, and then make casts, which increases the scale of economy quite a lot! :-)

Thanks for following the blog! I try to keep it interesting! Even I don't know what's going up next...
