Lost your marbles?

Now for some images of the painted Holy Orders bases.  Blue marble strikes again!

I also had a blast painting the white marble columns...

Just waiting for minis!

This one is for a special character.

More to come, including some larger bases for other characters and the light support vehicle.

Stay tuned!

Bark and Branch strike again!!

Yes, I think you can tell that I have been having a BLAST working with the Tree bark and all the branches that I have "liberated" from the ground. ;-)

This base is destined for a Wild West Exodus underboss Pat Garrett.  Hang 'em high!

And the diamondback rattlesnake will definitely be making many more appearances on my WWX bases.  No doubt.  I'm just glad that I had made a ton of sculpey versions of them.

Two more bases.  The scrub grass on the right hand base is a fantastic material that I purchased years ago and completely forgot about.  I believe the original intent was to use it as thatching on Bronze Age huts.

Now it will serve a major purpose with my Wild West bases.

Those very basic carved sculpey bases with the wood painted.  For something so simple, you can have some really fun results!

The latest set of wooden bases.

I will continue with this theme for the Warrior Nation, although there will be more rocky terrain, more trees and scrub grass.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. :-)

Is there a Doctor in the house?

Indeed there is!  The sixth member of the Wayward Eight is Sun Totem.

He's got some very fancy duds there!  At least according to that universe. :-)

Her he is with his sister...

A very scary family combo!

Six of the Eight.

The final two are just about complete!

Secret whispers of things to come...

Remember all those bases I was talking about?

Not only am I in a basing frenzy of my own, but the amazing Mr. Justin of Secret Weapon Miniatures fame has been quite busy as well.  There are a number of fantastic base designs, including these two.

Let's begin with a very appropriate to the season Corpse Fields.

These are gonna be a whole lot of fun to paint!

I think the deep set of the designs will allow for some nice gore and other effects, just like the skull bases.

Get ready for some gruesome scenes!  I am already trying to find some fun miniatures for these :-)

With all the epic rain we have been having, I could not resist the Sewer Works set.

Once again, I am perusing the stacks of minis around here for just the right figures to place on these.

My first thought would be Rogues, Assassins and Thieves.

That's great, since I have a number of Reaper Bones figures of just that type!

I also think some Dark Sword figures will find their way onto these wonderful platforms.

Nice designs that tell a story... and actually give you a place to put your miniatures.  What more could you want?

I said... don't mess with my bear!

K-Free is another member of the Wayward Eight.  The little bear is not part of the mini, however... I sculpted that :-)

This was one of the most fun miniatures from the set to paint.  I don't often get to paint pink shirts with flowers!

More views of her beloved bear...

Prepare for a plethora of perfectly practical posts on pretty bases

Get ready for an avalanche of bases!  We start it off with a set of bases I made for our Wild West Exodus games.

Bark and branches featured here, with a special base for Pat Garrett.  Hang 'em high!

I had sculpted a bunch of little snakes for Lizardmen bases a while ago... I finally get to use them now!  I will paint that up as a Diamondback rattlesnake, of course.

One more view...

I used  a few sculpey pieces to carve wood grain texture to create a few bases for guys running around about the town.

And a preview of some Holy Orders bases.

You saw me paint up a few marble test bases for this faction a few months ago.  With the figures in hand, it's for real now!!

Lots of blue and white marble effects coming.

So that concludes this round.

Coming down the pike are numerous base sets from Secret Weapon miniatures... Tau Ceti, Sewer Works, Ancient Temple, Lava and Corpse Fields.  Stay tuned!

Wash out...

Ok... it's time for everybody's favorite dinosaur enthusiast. This is from the Wayward Eight, the Wild West Exodus tribute to a certain show. :-)

He is called Hicks Kincade.

It's definitely a fun set of minis to paint!!

Meet the wife... Zarelda.

A ladies man, I see...
