Making the impossible bossible

Yes indeed!  The impossible made possible in front of my very astonished eyes!

You have seen a number of "unboxing" posts from a variety of fantastic miniature companies that are making this a real Golden Age of Miniature Painting... Secret Weapon, Dark Sword, Reaper and many more.

I have been amazed at what Justin, Lathan, Jim and so many others have been able to accomplish with some of the technologies available now.

Once I opened up this package from Sukubus Studios, I knew that I could be in for something special!  They recently ran an Indegogo campaign, and with that completed, they are forging ahead on post campaign projects!

Check this out :-)  Miniatures, like life, are a like box of chocolates...

The packaging gets even more amazing.

Inside... my goodness, we haven't even gotten to the miniatures yet!

Fun stuff... what might be unveiled next?

Believe it, folks.  This is right out of the box.  I did nothing to these, except set them on the photo backdrop.  No clipping, assembly, cutting, etc., of ANY KIND.

Wow.  All one piece, no crazy lines, perfectly designed to make my hobby life a whole lot easier.

Oh yeah, and the sculpts are mighty nifty as well!

Cheerleaders!

Now let's get to those action packed minis.  Each player is a unique pose.

The detail is astonishing, which is not always the case with one piece castings.  Minute little touches are all there, which will be even more apparent once they have paint on them!

A nice variety between the poses mean that it will be even easier to distinguish each player in a scrum.  Any numbers on the bases can easily be obscured, so it's quite nice to know right away who might have that +1 stat increase. :-)

Extra arms, anyone?

I think these one piece poses will also stand up to the rigors of Blood Bowl very well.

I salute the ingenuity and creativity of the artists of Sukubus Studio.  You rock!

There you have it, folks.

Better than Annie Oakley

Meet Missy's sister... Rebecca.

She can be used in either Lawmen or Outlaw posses in Wild West Exodus.

Both of the Sisters (and their puppies) will be serving with the Lawmen of Wappelville.

Strength, Law, and Statehood are the motto of our intrepid Lawmen as they battle Jesse's Girls.

Jesse's Girls may think they have the highest of fashion sense, but they now have more than a match on their hands with the Copelie Sisters!

The tip of the spear

One last spear thrower for you.

Not sure what these are called in Hordes, but I know they are being used for something else... an RPG.

Girl and Gun

A girl with a big gun, in fact!  This is Missy, one of the Copelie Sisters.

She can take part in Lawmen or Outlaw factions in Wild West Exodus.

It's part of a group of characters, which is her sister Rebecca... and some dogs too!

They get very angry when you mess with them, however, so tread lightly!!

One day, two milestones!

This was quite a day, as the blog reached two significant milestones.  There are now 800 Wappellians following the blog!  In addition, the blog has surpassed 2.3 million page views!

Thanks to everyone who visits each day, and for all you loyal Wappellians, much much more to come!!

The surge continues...

I've had a batch of these done for a while, so it's time to show more examples of brown.

Painting around the hooves is fun... that is, do I go with "socks", or shade them darker.

So, here are a few small group shots:

This one really shows the horse which was painted with the black/skin tone mix.  Very distinct within the confines of "browns".

Stay tuned for more!

Big horse, big guns...

You bet!  Big horse, twisted by magical energy, toting some serious pirated hardware.

This is Stone Fist, the only horse to survive the process of becoming an Energy Beast.

As a result, he can carry the guns of the enemy, which now project the flame of the rage once fired from them.

This is a sidekick figure, I believe, and he can do some very neat things in the game...

I'm definitely looking forward to trying out Stone Fist for myself!

The view from above...

And on a different backdrop.
