Warhammer Fantasy Orion

This was one of my favorite Wood Elf minis.  I remember wanting to make an army based on Orion and his troop types.  I painted the older version of this figure as well.  I think this got a bronze in the large creature category at our first Adeption in '07.

Another converted Blood bowl team

As I look through all my galleries of blood bowl teams, I find an amazing amount of Orc teams! Tomorrow I will be posting the first images of the New Orcland Patriots. Here is a "Mountain Ork" team I did a few years ago. Probably around the same time as Hong Kong.

A unit of Black Orcs

OK!  The orc love continues.  Here is a unit of the old metal black orcs.  I always have lots of fun doing weathering on the greenskins!

Spirit of Warhammer orc boar rider

I believe I painted this boar rider in 2009.  I know it was the same year as the 25th anniversary of Warhammer, when they came out with the special edition of the rulebook.  There was a bit of conversion, but I don't know what the original min was supposed to look like to say exactly how much!

At Games Day that year, they had a "Spirit of Warhammer " prize for a miniature that best fit this description.  The boar rider was chosen for that, and I was given a copy of the big 25th anniversary WFB rulebook.

Here he is:

I painted this Grimgore around the same time.  I had 2 different bases for him, one for WFB and another for RPG use.

A cool gift from Steve

A very generous friend and buyer just sent us a super cool surprise!  We could not figure out what was in the box until we opened up the bubble wrap.  Thank you very much Steve!  It has a place of honor in the living room.

Steve gets an assist in the Armies on Parade quest, as he volunteered to watch over the Lizardman army in the foyer while we went upstairs to put our entires in the Golden Demon room.  That helped a lot!

Some wood elves

Dryads are some of my favorite wood elf minis to paint, as are the characters.  Here are a few images I dug up this morning. :-)

Warhammer Fantasy special edition Chaos minis

Over the years I have gotten my hands (and brushes) on a few of the special edition chaos minis.  They are usually pretty fun to paint, with lots of extra stuff!

For whatever reason, whenever the topic of chaos comes around, everything ends up being Tzeentch.  Even my 40k choas army is Thousand Sons.  Remember Prospero... Death to the False Emperor...
