Here's another one of those guys carrying a bunch of pointy sticks!
These were all painted to match previously painted figures by another artist, as has been the case for this entire set.
I would have liked to introduce some secondary and tertiary colors into areas like the skin in particular, but I must stay within the boundaries which have been established.

ReplyDeleteThanks! It was very simple. The original color was a medium grey, which was lightened with a blueish white in shaded basecoat style.
DeleteOnce it was as light as the brightest highlights, I began glazing over it with a series of black glazes (and a touch of blue as well).
I went back in with a semi transparent middle tone grey to smooth out rough patches and provide a little more transition from light to dark in some areas.
