Coming out of your shell

I wish that I could get more chances to paint Bombshell Miniatures, sculpted by the always fantastic Patrick Keith.  The faces are always very well defined, and easy to paint.

The poses also have a dynamism that makes them very appealing, but they are still one or two piece casts at most.  This is very helpful for a lot of reasons.  Less time to prep, and less things to break!!

  1. Jim - The figure looks great. Looks like you did a bit of NMM for the sword, is that right? Could you tell me a bit more about that base as well? Looks like it is cork on a round lipped base. Where did the patterns come from?

    1. Thanks! There is NMM on the figure, as always (per our conversations) :-)

The base is just a quick sculpey cast from a press mould that I made many years ago and promptly forgot about. I needed a base in an instant, and I simply broke off the outer edges and glued it to the base which came with the fig.

      Cheers! :-)
