It flies!


This is always the trickiest part of a very difficult project.  Making these monsters fly.


With all the extra weight of the resin (mostly in the back), it is a very delicate balancing act.


Well, then again, there is nothing easy about these...


The hybrid kits have never quite worked out.  Slightly better luck when it is just all resin, like the big Fantasy stuff tends to be.


Well, upwards and onwards!

  1. Very nicely done. Is this a commision piece?

    On an unrelated topic, but still painting: I am starting to paint Dystopian Wars naval ships. On your tanks, you paint the area near the ground lighter to show reflected light. On a naval vessel, would this be done as well and would it be less or more? Does the water reflect less or more light onto the sides of the vessels?

    1. I think if it is sunny, you would have more reflected light, and almost none on cloudy or stormy skies. It would also do some serious tinting of colors towards blue/gray :-)
