Three of a kind...

Some images of the three completed bikes together!!!

It is always fun to see these units build up like this :-)

I am still getting used to the idea of painting 'white', instead of some form of off white.

Where are you guys headed?  They're THAT way...

More on the way!

  1. So, are you airbrushing those blends, or is it just the product of some dark, sacrificial, ritual?

    1. It's airbrush on a stick for me, since I no longer own any working airbrushes or compressors! Those were used in a bygone era, where the world was indeed flat :-)

  2. That is some fantastic blending on the whites, mate. Love these bikes a lot. If these weren't done via airbrush, then what's the trick? greyish basecoat and wet blending? or very careful shading? I'm curious to read how you do these?

    1. I use large filbert brushes, which also have a rounded edge. This is very good for blending, and for getting a nice feathered brush stroke. I also use glaze medium to keep the paint wet on the mini, and that does allow for some wet blending as well...
