Eyes of Autumn diorama: Dark Sword miniatures

Way back in the 'glory days' of dioramas, I thought it would be fun to replicate some of the artworks of Larry Elmore in miniature form.  Dark Sword produces the miniatures used in this piece.  They are always super detailed, and nicely cast.  They are all characters from Elmore paintings.

This was my first attempt.  It is from a painting called "Eyes of Autumn".  I hope Mr. Elmore and Dark Sword don't  mind me using a small version of the image to show what I was going for!

Hee is the original picture of the artwork by Larry Elmore (fantastic!), on which most of Dark Sword's miniatures are based.  This gives you a good idea of what I was working towards with the diorama!

And now for the work in progress images to show how it was made.  Obviously, I used regular sculpey for most of it (the white clay) with some Super Sculpey (pink) for more detailed pats that needed some extra strength.
