Thanks for the kind words, and for checking out the blog! There are some colors that are easier for me than others... I never quite know why. I sometimes think that it might come down to the chemical content of the paint, etc.
I used snakebite leather and reaper walnut to create the darker colors, working up to snatkebite leather with a bit of khemri brown. Then I mixed in rotting flesh with the snakebite to lighten. I hope that is helpful.

ReplyDeleteHow did you do the plumes on the helmets?
On the banner bearer I chopped off the plume from a plastic Eldar excarch srue, and then green stuffed the gaps and put rivets on it.
