First Responders

A few years ago I painted something called a Response Team for Armorcast.  Sort of a SWAT team tribute. :-)  I had forgotten all about them, and ran across the images earlier this week.

In fact, 90% of the pictures had not even been processed!  So, you are seeing them for the first tine along with me...

The irony is, I have been talking a lot about subjects for post kickstarter videos.  Painting White and painting Black would be chief among them, since I am asked so frequently about those!

So, stay tuned, since there is more to come!

The Great Wall of Wappleville

I realized that I never took pictures of the finished fortifications!

This is the set that I constructed for the Walls and Towers terrain video.  It represents only a portion of the entire set and the first experimental walls.

It was nice to finally get some paint on them, however, so that everything matched.

The complete set covers a very large section of a gaming table, but it is modular, with lots of corner and straight pieces, as well as bunkers and pillboxes.

Looks like somebody wants to call them home!

While it is neat to see the terrain painted, there is nothing like having the figures with it!!

It gives everything that little extra touch of drama!

A working group...

Time for some group shots!!!

All six of them together at last :-)

There was a variety of poses, I have to say that...

Very interesting.  Apparently Mercs has done a Kickstarter with fantasy minis.

If you are going to paint these, you will have to have some good metal files.  I needed to reinforce some details that way.

Kickin' it!

Last Merc Standing

Squad member #6.  Very unusual minis, to say the least.

Anyway, back to work!!!

All for a good cause

Well, here are the last photos of the Ultraforge Pleasure Demon.

She was sold on ebay a few days ago as a fund raiser for an additional (and much needed!) rendering machine.

Many thanks to Michael, and all those who have delved into this first round of auctions.  Also, a big thank you to Ultraforge, who allowed me to use several of their wonderful demons and large critters.

Because of their design, they made very good subjects for a number of the painting  videos, as well as great practice for others, such as the Glazing video.

I am always sad to see minis go out the door, but this was expected before the project even got started.  I knew that a big set of auctions would come at some point to bring in extra funds for shipping, packaging, printing, and so on.

So she flies away, off to a good home!

Frosty...

Lost my place a little bit this evening, so here is another Merc.

Could not find the images I intended to post, but it is more than extremely late right now, and time to go pass out...

More Mercs

Next guy!  This was one of the snow bases that I made in the course of the basing video.  I really didn't think that the figure would fit so perfectly!

A few more to show you, and then the group shots...
