A working group...

Time for some group shots!!!

All six of them together at last :-)

There was a variety of poses, I have to say that...

Very interesting.  Apparently Mercs has done a Kickstarter with fantasy minis.

If you are going to paint these, you will have to have some good metal files.  I needed to reinforce some details that way.

Kickin' it!

Last Merc Standing

Squad member #6.  Very unusual minis, to say the least.

Anyway, back to work!!!

All for a good cause

Well, here are the last photos of the Ultraforge Pleasure Demon.

She was sold on ebay a few days ago as a fund raiser for an additional (and much needed!) rendering machine.

Many thanks to Michael, and all those who have delved into this first round of auctions.  Also, a big thank you to Ultraforge, who allowed me to use several of their wonderful demons and large critters.

Because of their design, they made very good subjects for a number of the painting  videos, as well as great practice for others, such as the Glazing video.

I am always sad to see minis go out the door, but this was expected before the project even got started.  I knew that a big set of auctions would come at some point to bring in extra funds for shipping, packaging, printing, and so on.

So she flies away, off to a good home!

Frosty...

Lost my place a little bit this evening, so here is another Merc.

Could not find the images I intended to post, but it is more than extremely late right now, and time to go pass out...

More Mercs

Next guy!  This was one of the snow bases that I made in the course of the basing video.  I really didn't think that the figure would fit so perfectly!

A few more to show you, and then the group shots...

Ready to roll!

Now for some nifty shots of the Secret Weapon APV.

I have just about all of the additional weapons finished, so I will post those images as well.

Also, I need to make some of these armor skirts for the original APV, so that they match!

The other reason I made the armor skirts was to have a place for magnetized sponsons.  These will let me use it as a Leman Russ, which should be fun.  The weapons that come with the turret will easily support that.

Finally, I will be making some flak gun turrets for these vehicles so that they can be a Hydra.

That will be fun!  Lots of plasticard and polystyrene tubing.  And lots of weathering powders.

Thanks again to the folks at Secret Weapon Miniatures!

One of my favorite elements of this is the turret, which hangs out over the sides of the vehicles as it faces right or left.  I like that a bit more than the T34 sized small turrets of the Chimeras, etc.

With the armor skirts, this is exactly the same size as a Chimera.

The view from above!!!

Another Merc

Here's another member of the Mercs squad.

I was very gratified that all the different designs that I made of the snow bases (Sculpey, cork, Apoxy Sculpt) all worked with these rather bulky figures.

When I first looked at them, I figured it would be difficult to make any of them work.  Instead, it was almost like I had a plan! :-)
