Invested in Vestals

Here's the first of the Sci-fi Blood Vestals from Raging Heroes.

I made a few squads of these for my Dark Eldar army.

I had a few squads of five that rode in Venoms... they actually managed to hunt down some vehicles that way!

And with some characters...

Altar and priest

Finally time for the side by side and complete images!

Getting everything in the correct place on this was very difficult, and of course the instructions are minimal or non-existent. :-)

That leaves a series of best guesses... but at least he fits in there!

I have some powders that I will be putting in a few areas as accents.

Those will be in a few isolated areas... not really for weathering, but enhancing shadow areas.

I want to infuse a few complimentary colors in those darker sections.

The powders can also get into some deep crevices that brushes just can't reach.

Then a final spray and complete!!!

The trophy wife

The trophy collection grows, one severed head at a time!

This is another Blood Vestal from my Dark Eldar army.  Obviously, they make some very fun Wyches!

You can see even from these images that the scale fits in very well with any existing figures from the other line.

And she looks great next to the other characters!  Also, she is part of the resin sets which come in a box of five miniatures.

Floating on the wind

No self respecting 30k hero can do without an altar, particularly one that floats!

This is the altar for Archmagos Draykavac.

Yes, it was a very complicated piece to get through, especially with the floating skull things.  It required some particularly close work with the heat gun!

You can also see that multiple weapon options were magnetized.  Shots of everything together tomorrow!

Asharah Raging

Once again, another Raging Heroes figure from my Dark Eldar army.

In fact, I used this figure as my Archon.  There were a number of outstanding bits left over, which I was able to use on several of my Incubi conversions!

Also, many of the Raging Heroes character kits are designed to function in either a Fantasy or Sci fi environment, depending on which bits you choose.

I had to use the fan option on the figure to the right...

Much more to come... including pictures of my Blood Vestal squad!

A bad hair day?

This very unusual figure is Archmagos Draykavac, part of the Forgeworld Mechanicus line.

I am almost done with the altar section of this piece, which I will post tomorrow night.

Safe to say all the power cables and such can drive a person nuts :-)

It Rages again...

I didn't realize just how many Raging Heroes figures I have around here... many of which were painted for my Adepticon tournament army a few years ago.

I used various Blood Vestals and characters such as this with my Dark Eldar army.

The kickstarter has been live for almost a week now... here it is!
