Now we continue to get deeper and deeper into that second rank! This was the other standing pose of the Forgeworld Empire Handgunners
Here are some views of the second rank...
These images of the unit as a whole get more and more interesting with each gunner that is completed!!
Not long now...
A very Merry Mardi Gras?
Awesome - and your NMM is just great.
ReplyDeleteThanks! With all the thousands of minis I have painted over the years, I have never done an entire unit of WFB minis like this. It's very neat to see!!
DeleteYou're craaaazzzeee....
ReplyDeleteThat is very wild looking stuff. The only thing I would be critical of is that often the gun barrels are most often a blued steel and not that reflecting as you have them, unless stainless or chromed.
I was thinking that the steel of the armor would have to be a different alloy than the barrels. In fact, I wanted the barrels to be an even darker color... almost black, but I had to move off of that a bit...
DeleteWow, really...WOW. The reflection in those helmets is amazing. Surely golden deamon level stuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Doing this on such a mass scale is a blast! It will just be a few more days until the whole unit if complete!
DeleteWhile appreciating your talent and the effort that has gone into this wouldn’t the helmet feathers and the other troops also appear as reflections. Disappointing that it appears that the guns barrels are solid and there are no lenses on the telescopic sight.
ReplyDeleteThe reason why I didn't do those sorts of reflections is that it is very likely the positions of the figures will be altered by various formations, etc. Not sure what you mean about the gun barrels...
DeleteFar enough, although feathers are unlikely to move and would assume the kneelers will always be in the front rank.
DeleteThe gun barrels appear in the photos to have solid ends – they don’t look like tubes – no hole for bullet to come out of.
