Turning the pages of History

I have a few more of the Historical cavalry for you.

The unit continues to grow.

Unlike the fantasy armies I have done, and LOTR, etc., I am stuck with doing all the horses almost exactly the same.  Only a few select riders get a horse of a different color...

I try to do a few little things here and there to get some difference between them, however.

The thin blue line gets a little longer.

More on the way... putting this up to ten complete.

I am finding ways to do certain things a little faster.  Getting familiar with how they were supposed to look took more getting used to than normal.

As I have mentioned, I was hoping to do an entry for the Historicals category at the Crystal Brush.  While that usually means some sort of tank, I thought I should stick with something I have wanted to do since I was a kid, and that is paint some model ships!

Hoping to avoid the usual suspects, I was tempted to go French or Italian ships... such as the Richelieu.

The decision will have to be made to go with a waterline diorama style, or...

The more common floating ship on plaque.  I would prefer to do the 'in the water' approach.

Then, of course, I have to hope that it would be allowed as an entry!  One never knows...

    1. Historicals are the 'Great Undiscovered Country' for us, so that is certainly something I was hoping to explore! I am still awed by the tremendous Gettysburg game that you and D.P. set up. Amazing painting by you all, and a tremendous presentation!
