Hey folks! We are back! In one piece!
To make things even better, the house seems to have been high and dry the whole time. Excellent!
Now begins the unpacking and log cleanup process from the mess I have been making of the house for the last 4 months. The new filming area is going to be put together this week as well.
I want to pass along heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it one of the coolest weekends of my life, if not the coolest. The list is vast. Many thanks to the Adepticon staff who ran the 40K tournament, which is always an amazing event, and to Alex, who puts a lot of heart and soul into the Warhammer tournament. Both shattered records for numbers of players and tables.
Thanks to the folks at CoolMini, who did their Crystal Brush thing, and to everyone who kept insisting that I put something in there. :-) I had some fun with the CMONers and Dave in the brief time we got to talk.
As I mentioned the other night, huge thank you's to everyone who came over to talk minis and armies with me all weekend. That's what makes all the insanely long hours and no sleep worthwhile. There is no way to place a value on that. It means way more than I can express here. This is what I live and breathe (and wear, as you can see by all the paint on my clothes), and knowing that people like the results is super cool!
I guess there are always those key moments when you wonder if it's worth doing the crazy little details that might never be seen by anyone, and you have to fight through the temptation to just say the heck with it :-) The reason I stuck with the plan was that I knew people at Adepticon would see it and get some enjoyment out of it.
These two army laboratories have allowed me to develop so many new techniques, and streamline others. Now I get to pass them on!
I will be taking pictures of some of the results for you. Results from the tournaments and from the Crystal Brush... stay tuned!!!
Congratulations on zillions of crystal brush prizes you've got there.
ReplyDeleteFirst time i was in a situation where i had familiar pieces in such competition :)
But I think that Kabalites squad would score better than jetbikes :>
