The "Wish they were still here" category... Ilyad minis uncovered!

I accidentally ran across these images as I was searching for something else.  A number of of of my favorite minis from Ilyad.

These were always very fun!  I have more of these to show you.

Our quest for the expanded RAM capabilities met a major snag, as just about every attempt to increase RAM has over the years.  Not sure why, but it always works out that way.  So we are stuck at 1 Gig for now.

  1. Great minis and painting on those!

If it is ok to ask about the techinal problems, why are you stuck with 1gig RAM? It is cheap to get and if it is your current system that is bottlenecking, a new system would be preferable? Just trying to help here, if its ok...

    1. 1 G is what the computer has. This machine takes a very very specific type of ram, not readily available.

We would love to have a new system, but we can only afford that after the kickstarter funding comes in. We are trying to learn as much as possible by creating videos now, instead of waiting until February to get started...

    1. Thanks! It was a nice change to do these in red. As you saw with a lot of the Celtos stuff, there had been a lot of blue!

  3. I love Ilyad. Its been a labor of love for many years for me to find a lot of those miniatures. Soon I have to send a few more to you :). The Sculptors for Ilyad were predominantly Thomas David and JAG. They are still around and doing work for helldorado, Studio Mcvey, Kingdom Death and some others.

You may not know but the GORGHOR BEY you did for me was Ilyad. The huge giant with the beer and Axe. I love that figure and the paint Job. You have done a few other figures you may not relize are Ilyad. The big Zombie with a Club and the 2 little Zombies for me. Samurai and a Geisha with a Fan weapon(cathy may have painted those). Cathy painted the Ilyad man scorption I think for me that was also Ilyad. The Arch-angle with a spear and that is just a few I can think off the top of my head.

    2. Gee, I guess that's why I like the Kingdom Death stuff so much! I am bummed that I have not been able to get any of those for us. It would be very cool if they wanted to be part of our painting DVD Kickstarter as Raging Heroes and Urban Mammoth are!

If you look to the bar just on the left, you will see listing of postings, mostly by manufacturer. You should see 13 posts listed under Ilyad. If you click on that, they should come up. Also, you can use the search bar on the left as well.

    3. Have you asked Adam? What exactly do they provide to the KS you are doing?
