Forgeworld Blood Angels Rapier
Here's the latest, hot off the presses! It was certainly interesting to do this in colors that were not Imperial Fists! I really enjoy painting the same things in different color schemes. The challenge is fun, and it is a blast to compare two of them next to each other. I will post some of those soon.
The bases are Dragonforge, by the way. Very high quality bases... probably the best casting quality you will find.
Here are some top views that will get you a better look at the bases...
I looks like we found out why Cathy has no more ice cream sandwiches! Ice Bat must have been very hungry...
That is just too sweet Jim.. we ned to share some links :)
ReplyDeleteYes indeed! :-)
DeleteI follow your blog regularly, your work is always gorgeous but this more simplistic piece is strangely one of my favorite pieces you've done. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I always try to have variety :-)
DeleteI've been ordering some resin plinths recently to display my models and take pics of them. Dragonforge is by far the best quality resin casting I have come across. Very little prep on those except a soapy bath and a light sanding.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely some of the best out there!
DeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteNice work! Your painting style just fits these guys perfectly. Will we being seeing more Blood Angels from you?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThere are loads of Blood angels on the blog... I think there are about 35 posts worth. Some are Pre Heresy like these, which others are splinter chapters, Death Company and Sanguinary Guard...
You have achieved the most delicious red on this piece!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! These pieces are very tricky!
