A few Lord of the Rings minis

This is the one game that I am actually playing right now, and enjoying.  The other systems have lost just about all of their lustre for me.  I love how magic is very limited (I'm looking at you, WFB 8th ed.), and the 'might/will/fate' poker match!

There are very few, if any, "I have unit X, therefore I win" units in LOTR.  Now that Army of the Dead can be fielded with anyone (and have real weapons and cavalry!), it really sets up my armies moving forward.  I have a giant Easterling army that needs to be painted, tons of other Dwarves, Elves and scratch sculpted treemen, you name it!

Here are some older minis:

  1. Magic is mostly the reason that I'm not playing as much Fantasy either.

Greatly looking miniatures, as always. Look forward to seeing more.

  2. It is a bit of a shame about the magic, since I really like painting fantasy minis. Since basing is such a huge part of the painting experience for me, being able to come up with a theme that makes the bases and movement trays work together is a blast!

I have several 1k armies that I could create with the minis in hand, so I have lots of stuff to do!
