In a brief departure from the Lizardmen, here are some miins which I just finished paintnig for Dark Age Games. I believe this is a new release which is happeneing today, since I just sent them the photos!

They were very fun to paint... I love doing ice effects. The bases were made from baked sculpey that was carved and faceted.
Would love to know your process for painting the ice effect on the elementals
ReplyDeleteI believe that I started out with a sky blue color, and worked it lighter with some white tinted with a hint of blue. Then I went in with transparent glazes on each "panel", creating a light to dark effect.
DeleteYou can even vary the hues of blue.. some more intense, others more greyed down. That is the beauty of this approach...
