Gamezone Dark Elf Crossbowmen

After seeing a few Dark Elf armies in the tournament room over the weekend, it got me thinking about these Gamezone versions...

Privateer Prees: Hordes Typhon, Legion of Everblight

One of the nifty items I found in my bag of swag from Adepticon was a Legion of Everblight starter box!  Made the long wait worthwhile. :-)

I am glad that those are not metal, like this big guy was!  The base was made with Apoxy sculpt.  I am going to be painting mine much different than the usual colors, since I have had my fill of white skin painting this army.

Sculpted Crypt/Graveyard bases

Now this is something very different from the last week's worth of posts!

This is, however, a huge part of every army that I create... the bases.  It sets the theme in such a powerful way.  The more elaborate you go with your bases, the more intricate story that you weave.  Obviously, this set has a pretty specific theme!



These bases were created with backed sculpey clay which was carved, along with Green stuff and Apoxy sculpt.  Some more painted images:

Basing can be a lot of fun, and not just a necessary evil :-)  They can be a lots of fun to paint just by themselves!  This set of bases was designed to be quite interchangeable, so that various pieces could be used in combination, or all by themselves.
