Uncovering some Dark Sword minis

Once again, I seem to find large collections of minis that I don't even remember painting!  After looking through the dragon pictures yesterday, I discovered these :

Dark Sword was alway more of the 'true scale' with the tiny hands and such, but you see many more companies adopting that style now.  To be honest, I would prefer the heroic scale, as it is a lot less fragile and a heck of a lot easier to deal with!

Dark Sword huge metal Dragon

Given all the talk about resin replacing pewter these days, here is something  that was one of the most difficult pieces I ever attempted, for a variety of reasons.

This massive dragon is all metal... including the wings!  I spent several days creating the display base, and a few more painting it.

Then it was time to attach the beasty to that display base. :-)

So, a few images:

Oh , yeah, and it was less fun to ship as well.
